title of tug found

the first tug that entered and is still being worked on is the lisa moran. a second sister will be made as the priscilla moran.

i have found some pictures of the first tug on my list. i will begin construction tonight.

smit rotterdam earns the nickname "ms. muscles"

the bulkcarrier de ameland has arrived from the other side of the continent with frozen crab and automobile parts. the de ameland is part refridgerated and part non-refridgerated. the tug from Derek's tugs and salvage named smit rotterdam muscled this one in all by herself. the smit rotterdam, at the time of construction was the largest and most powerful tug ever built, and is one of the most valuable tug any fleet could ask for.

the brooklyn (green steam tug) got the RMS aquitania (4 red stacks) and the RMS titanic (pale orange stacks) out of the harbor all by itself. a feat that tells us that steam tugs are not out of power yet. in fact, some of our best tugs are steam tugs. they are easy to mantain contrary to popular belief, but they give you enough trouble to keep you busy. they are much more interesting to operate, the brooklyn is my favorite, even though she is our least powerful tug with 600hp, and she makes better use of it than some of our more powerful diesels. she is able to tow 5 fully loaded coal barges and still get decent time going down the river. steam tugs are irreplaceable.

Manhattan continued

here is the brooklyn towing the CSL to a service dock after the crane failed to operate correctly. the other tugs are refueling at another service dock upriver.

New salvage craft coming to virtual sailor

sorry, no pictures yet. I just wanted to let you know that there is a new ship coming to virtual sailor. a salvage craft that can tow a ship from here, to mars!

some tugs are coming soon. right now i am working on a salvage vessel, and a new tug. i'll put the link down into my downloads section when it is done. also, i am working on a model of the SS United States a.k.a, Big U.
